Growth in UK Ferry Travel Industry

Here at Cheap UK Ferries we long ago abandoned the hassles and stresses associated with air travel and decided to concentrate on ferry travel for the majority of our travel needs. It seems that we are not alone. Despite the twin-pronged effects on rising fuel prices and the credit crunch, the UK ferry sector is set to grow over the next few years, with ferry operators increasing capacity to keep up with this surge in demand.

There is now a siginificant sub-group of travellers who enjoy mini-cruise breaks, european city breaks, spa breaks and caravan holidays via ferry travel. As consumers who are being squeezed tight financially, these days we expect value for money – this is where ferry travel has a distinct advantage over air – ferries provide a far more enjoyable overall experience. Many have well appointed cabins, restaurants & cafés, onboard entertainment, bars, lounges and a variety of shops. Improved ferry experiences have attracted many families and the over 55s age group, keen to avoid the pressures of travelling from an airport.

All this is good news for us – there should be plenty of ferry news to report on in the coming months.
